A big part of my artistry is designing products and totally unnecessary, but fun things, that spread joy to myself and others. One of my all-time favorite materials is concrete – not only because it is cheap but also because it does not demand a lot of steps in the process from idea to product. Over the years, I have baked hundreds of cupcakes in colorful, painted concrete.
Porcelain is just about the opposite of concrete. A very demanding material that demands a lot of knowledge and lots of steps before you get to the result you desire. Personally, I prefer to design small things in porcelain – for example my little owls, foxes and polar bears that I turn into bijouteri.
